ABOUT GAY USA

GAY USA was created in the first s by gay activist and video producer Lou Maletta. Lou realized that mainstream news outlets had only a superficial comprehending of the LGBT group and — in particular, at that time — the AIDS crisis. So he decided to construct a more knowledgeable, complex, honest source of news. He took news crews to LGBT events around the country. He sent reporters to the Democratic and Republican conventions from to , grilling politicians on gay and AIDS issues, while covering demonstrations in the streets. He covered every major news story of discrimination and liberation for twenty years, and put it all on television around the country.

Co-hosted by Andy (since ) and Ann (since ), the show continues to report — every week — the latest developments on legalizing queer marriage in the U.S. and worldwide, fighting for equality in Russia and South America and Asia, stopping murders of LGBT people in Africa and Central America, and much, much more. UPDATE: We&#;re pleased to report that satellite provider Dish Network, the only major television carrier to not offer Brand, has added the 24/7 LGBT network to its HD line-up. Dish HD customers can now get Logo on channel

Dish Network remains the sole national carrier of Free Speech TV, the somewhat revolutionary, left-wing alternative network that airs Homosexual USA, a weekly hard-news show, and other gay-friendly programs.

The HD package that offers Logo costs $20 per month, and includes MGM HD and HD Movie Net, both of which atmosphere many classic films, all shown uncut (Truth Wins Out).

2/6/ Dish Network which bills itself as the leader in satellite home fun, and offers virtually all channels present, seems to be having an issue getting LGBT channels.

It seems suspicious, especially in light of the company voting down an anti-discrimination billa few months ago.

The 24/7 LGBT channel LOGO which is part of the Viacom Network is not included, even though they renewed their contractwith DISH Network and now offer channels such as MTV, MTV 2, Wager, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeo
