Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! As families and friends gather orbicular the Thanksgiving table, maintaining the peace by avoiding whatever elephant happens to be occupying the room in which you’re seated, I’d like to admit a topic I’ve been tiptoeing around since I started this blog. It’s a question that has been raised every so often online, but with little back-up information, other than the fact that Ronald Tammen was a good-looking guy who didn’t date much. Here’s my thing about season 6 – I obtain that it’s not what a lot of people wanted, it’s not really what I wanted either, but the writers were always more comfortable telling their story about the ins and outs of a high school glee club than they were exploring the lives of youthful performers making it in the world.  So, in hindsight, it’s not really that surprising that everything comes help to Lima as almost a nod to the imaginative 13 episodes.  So, let’s dig in a little…

Jenny and Tara were already deceased when I lost Shay. I’m not sure why hers was the death that hurt the most. Maybe it was that I’d never really liked Jenny to begin with (and who had?). Maybe it was that I was too young to fully understand the devastating impairment of Tara. Maybe it was that, in Shay, I saw someone a bit more appreciate me: someone who certainly didn’t have it all together, but who was trying, who was surrounding herself with a circle of friends, an urban family of support and laughter. She was my favourite character; watching her perish in a devastating conflagration wasn’t just a mas
